1. Who We Are

SwipeAnime ("we", "our", "us") is an anime discovery platform located at swipeanime.com. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information.

2. Data We Collect

SwipeAnime is designed with minimal data collection in mind:

• Local Storage data: Your taste quiz answers, recently viewed anime IDs and preference settings are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
• No account required: We do not require registration and do not collect your name, email or personal identifiers.
• Third-party API: When you search or browse, requests are made to the AniList GraphQL API. AniList may log these requests according to their own privacy policy. We do not send any personal data to AniList.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not set any tracking cookies. We use browser local storage solely to save your consent choice and preferences (quiz taste profile, recently viewed). See our Cookie Policy for details.

4. Third-Party Services

SwipeAnime uses the following external services:

• AniList API (graphql.anilist.co) — anime database. AniList Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — typography. Google may log font requests. Google Privacy Policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks or any other third-party tracker.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access any data we hold about you (in our case, there is none server-side)
• Delete your local data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage
• Withdraw consent at any time — simply click "Decline" in the cookie banner or clear local storage
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

6. Data Retention

All data is stored in your browser only and persists until you clear it. We have no server-side data to retain or delete.

7. Children's Privacy

SwipeAnime does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Our site filters out adult content via the AniList API (isAdult: false).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will update the "last updated" date and, where required, notify users.
